Ralph's Lady Bug, Dam of Bugs Alive In 75
She has been described as a nice-looking sorrel bald-faced mare. Her son Bugs Alive gets all the press, but mother's contribution, as usual, should not be ignored. Ralph's Lady Bug earned $45,155 on the track, and finished fourth in the 1968 All-American Futurity. She had a speed index of 100, and set a track record at 330 yards. She had a total of seven (7) foals, and all earned money on the race track.
In addition to Bugs Alive In 75, she produced two (2) full brothers, one being Bugged Moon, a black stallion who has become a prominent barrel racing influence in his own right. He was the dam's sire of Ashes In The Fire.
Note her second dam, FL Lady Bug. She was inducted into the AQHA Hall Of Fame because of her influence on the Quarter Horse racing industry. This mare was the dam of the great Lady Bugs Moon.
